Grenfell Campus and the Navigate Entrepreneur Centre is hosting a one-day conference entitled: Sustainable Tourism in a Green Economy. A green economy is one that results in improved human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities. The conference will feature speakers from Canada and Costa Rica, with the purpose of discussing how tourism contributes toward or detracts from the environmental, social-cultural and economic / business sustainability of a region, province or country.

The bachelor of arts in tourism studies was introduced at Grenfell College in September 2006. Graduates will understand the global issues related to tourism and possess the skills and knowledge needed to help shape the local tourism industry.
You will be well-positioned to take on leadership roles and initiate new enterprises within the tourism sector.
